FM energy management masterclass

The Office of Environment and Heritage is hosting an energy management masterclass specially designed for facility managers at Total Facilities in Sydney on Wednesday 29 March, 2017.

New energy efficiency training courses

A range of upcoming OEH training courses including battery storage for business, commercial refrigeration and building the business case are now available for registrations.

Attendance to OEH training courses qualifies you for post-training support valued at approximately $3000, so you can put your learnings into action. 

March and May 2017 courses

OEH has also launched several 15 to 30-minute online courses on topics including voltage optimisation, refrigeration basics and measurement and verification.

Aspen Interiors boosts productivity

Commercial furniture manufacturer Aspen Interiors has saved more than $75,000 since implementing a number of energy efficiency measures including lighting, solar and power factor correction.

With assistance from the Office of Environment and Heritage, Aspen Interiors commissioned an audit which found its big energy users were lighting, production equipment, dust extractors and compressors.

As a result, Aspen Interiors undertook an extensive lighting upgrade and installed a 100KW solar power system and power factor correction equipment.

These measures have not only saved Aspen Interiors $75,000 annually, but also boosted worker productivity and safety.

City of Sydney ratings and assessment grants

The City of Sydney is offering ratings and assessment grants across NABERs ratings, GreenStar certification, energy audits and more. Apply by 5pm, 13 March. Register to attend a Q&A session on 28 February.
