Battery storage masterclass – limited subsidies available

The NSW Office of Environment & Heritage is offering fee subsidies for the upcoming battery storage for business masterclass, to be held in conjunction with the National Energy Efficiency Conference 2016.

Battery storage for business is designed to help professionals gain an understanding of the technical and financial considerations of this new technology without the influence of brand marketing hype.

OEH is running a second masterclass, energy management for facility managers, on November 16. It provides facility managers with knowledge, skills and tools for implementing an energy management business strategy.

Masterclass tickets include:

  • Access to the conference between 8am and 11am
  • Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and end of day networking drinks
  • Networking opportunities with leaders in energy efficiency, cogeneration and demand management
  • Training materials and access to post Masterclass support through the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage Energy Efficient Business Team.

UGL saves with lighting upgrade

As a result of OEH’s post-training support program, UGL Unipart is well on the way to reducing its lighting energy use by 60% at its Auburn warehouse.

After completing an OEH training course in energy management, UGL Unipart accessed a $3000 post-training support grant from the Energy Efficient Business team.

That allowed the company to develop a business case to approve a $1 million-plus lighting upgrade.
